Verse Reference: Proverbs 3 and Proverbs 23

Lord, I ask you for wisdom and acknowledge you in all things. There have been time when wisdom hasn't been my strength and knowledge wasn't in the heart. After stumbling and seeing myself return to my own folly I realize the errors of my ways. Early in life I sought you and should have continued to hide this verse on my heart,

Proverbs 3:1-2 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but keep my commands in your heart,
2 for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity."

Instead I became wise is my own eyes realizing I had become this type of man.

Proverbs 23:4-8, Do not wear yourself out to get rich;
do not trust your own cleverness.
5 Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone,
for they will surely sprout wings
and fly off to the sky like an eagle.
Saying 9
6 Do not eat the food of a begrudging host,
do not crave his delicacies;
7 for he is the kind of person
who is always thinking about the cost.[b]
“Eat and drink,” he says to you,
but his heart is not with you.
8 You will vomit up the little you have eaten
and will have wasted your compliments.

Lord, I ask for forgiveness and look to you for guidance. I understand that you give and take away. That you love like a Father and discipline those whom you love and ask for us to repent. Have mercy upon me that I may find you and your heart. That you may dwell in me.

Proverbs 3:11-14
My son, do not despise the Lord’s discipline,
and do not resent his rebuke,
12 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in.[b]
13 Blessed are those who find wisdom,
those who gain understanding,
14 for she is more profitable than silver
and yields better returns than gold.

My heart wants to submit to you and by your grace open it to your love. Amen
